Himmler et « l’extermination » des juifs

Le 4 octobre 1943, dans un discours confidentiel à des officiers, Himmler aurait dit : « Je voudrais parler de l'évacuation des Juifs, de l'extermination du peuple juif. (…) Nous avions le droit moral, nous avions le devoir envers notre peuple, de détruire ce peuple qui voulait nous détruire. » Les historiens considèrent ce discours comme la preuve que les Juifs étaient systématiquement exterminés. Vincent Reynouard le remet dans son contexte et démontre qu’il n’en est rien.
